NANBIOSIS was presented at ESB 2026 in Antwerp, highlighting its role in connecting academia and industry in biomedical research.
Antwerp, September 2026 — NANBIOSIS participated in the 35th Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB 2026), held from 7 to 11 September 2026 in Antwerp, Belgium, marking the 50th anniversary of the European Society for Biomaterials.
Representing NANBIOSIS, Gabriel Alfranca, Internationalization and Communication Manager, presented a poster introducing the infrastructure and its role in supporting biomedical research and development. The poster, listed as D2-P031, was titled “NANBIOSIS: A distributed research infrastructure bridging Academia and Industry up to preclinical development.”
The conference brought together scientists, clinicians, engineers, industry representatives and students working across the biomaterials field. Its scientific programme covered areas including tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, biofabrication, drug delivery, medical devices, biomaterials, advanced manufacturing and clinical translation.
ESB 2026 provided an opportunity for NANBIOSIS to increase its visibility within the international biomaterials and biomedical research community and to introduce its capabilities to researchers and professionals interested in translating innovative technologies towards preclinical development.
Through its participation in international scientific events such as ESB 2026, NANBIOSIS continues to promote collaboration and awareness of its distributed research infrastructure among academic and industrial communities.
